Who We Are
The Watch Hill Yacht Club Sailing Association was established in 2006 as an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3) by members of the Watch Hill Yacht Club. Community outreach initiatives and philanthropy were the driving force behind the establishment of the Sailing Association.
Our Mission is to foster, support and expand the sailing education and experience for junior and amateur sailors from Westerly and our surrounding communities.
Developing sailing and maritime education programs that engage the community.
Providing financial assistance to young sailors from Westerly and surrounding communities to participate in junior sailing programs.
Support other Organizations whose programs provide opportunities to junior and amateur sailors by providing funding for scholarships, tuition assistance, equipment and maritime education initiatives.
Our Herreshoff, Blue Bell is used for lessons through the WHYC Junior Sailing Program and is available for rent to qualified sailors who have gone through our certification training. If interested in renting Blue Bell please contact:
